Rumor: Unknown Hidden Valve Game Discovered on Steam

Thanks to the SteamDB database, Reddit users noticed that Valve had added an unknown project to its platform. The hidden game appeared at the end of January, and apparently, it will have a multiplayer mode.
There is little information about the project: the repository with the identifier 3488080 was added to SteamDB last month and has received several updates since then, but it became known only now. A separate server was also allocated for it, which hints at multiplayer functions. The fact that this is a Valve game was reported by the owner of SteamDB with the nickname xPaw — a fairly authoritative source in such matters.
Some fans on Reddit have already suggested that Valve is preparing to announce HLX. A few months ago, data miners found references to an unannounced game in the Source 2 engine code, which may belong to the Half-Life universe. However, there is no evidence that this is really the case.
Recall that at the end of 2024, a lot of insider information appeared that Valve was working on a new part of Half-Life. Also, fans were excited by a mysterious teaser from the voice actor of G-Man, released just in time for the beginning of 2025. And recently, in Counter-Strike 2, players found a hint of a hidden message.
