A Portrait of Eric Cartman Found in Avowed — A Nod to Obsidian's 'South Park' Game
February 17, 2025, 03:09 PM

Like any major game, Avowed is packed with Easter eggs and references. Recently, players discovered one of them — a portrait of the legendary wizard Eric Cartman.
As you might guess, this is a nod to South Park: The Stick of Truth, which Obsidian released over a decade ago. Cartman is depicted wearing his signature wizard’s hat and holding the Stick of Truth, but this time, he looks more realistic.
For now, Avowed is only available to premium edition owners. Its peak player count on Steam has reached 13,000 — not a record, but still higher than Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
The full release is set for tomorrow, February 18. The game will be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S, as well as through Game Pass.
