Mecha BREAK Becomes Steam's Hottest Game, But Reviews Tell a Different Story

The open beta for Mecha BREAK launched on Steam on February 23, instantly making it the platform’s most trending game. According to SteamDB, the mech action title hit a peak of 317,000 concurrent players on its first day.
However, player reception has been far less enthusiastic—Mecha BREAK currently holds only a 34% positive rating. Many players cite server login issues and an excessive grind as major drawbacks.
Mecha BREAK is an online mech combat game in the vein of Armored Core, where players pilot massive war machines. It is developed by Amazing Seasun Games, the studio behind Snowbreak: Containment Zone.
The full release is set for later in 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
