Monster Hunter Wilds Received Negative Reviews on Steam Despite Successful Launch

Popularity has its downside: Monster Hunter Wilds reached more than 1 million gamers online in less than a day, but Steam ratings indicate problems. The main reason was the technical state of the game on PC.

Judging by the reviews, optimization is experiencing huge problems. Despite all of Capcom's promises to polish the project before release after beta tests with terribly bad graphics, the PC version turned out to be raw. Players are complaining en masse about FPS drops and crashes even on powerful video cards. At the time of writing, the Monster Hunter Wilds rating on Steam dropped to "mixed" reviews — only 47% of which are positive.

Meanwhile, the launch of the action game started off more than excellently. In less than a day, the game crossed the threshold of 1.3 million users, breaking into second place on Steam among the most popular projects.

Recall that Monster Hunter Wilds previously received high scores from critics. Journalists called the project one of the best in the series.
