Conquistadors vs. Cthulhu — Co-op Action Game The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu Announced

It looks like the world has spontaneously decided to celebrate Cthulhu Day—yesterday saw the announcement of three Lovecraftian games at once. We've already covered Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss and The Sinking City 2, and now it's time to dive into the first details of The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu.

Developed by the creators of Zeno Clash, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is a co-op action game where four conquistadors find themselves trapped in cursed jungles filled with untold riches and unspeakable horrors. Each expedition takes them deeper into the unknown, but the greater the reward, the harder it is to make it out alive.

Since the game is steeped in Lovecraftian mythology, players will have to keep an eye on their sanity. According to the description, dark forces will torment the explorers with hallucinations, sowing doubt and paranoia among the group.

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is set to launch in 2025 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
