ADATA unveils the world's smallest dual-port SSD with eco-coating

ADATA has introduced the SC730 external SSD, claiming the title of the smallest in its class. The drive measures just 36 mm in length and weighs less than 8 grams (7.8 g). This makes the SC730 lighter and more compact than most USB flash drives, yet it features two connectors — USB-A and USB-C — cleverly hidden in a sliding mechanism. This design allows for easy connection to a wide range of modern devices, from laptops to smartphones, without the need for adapters.

Despite its tiny size, the SSD delivers impressive performance. Thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface (10 Gbps), the drive offers read and write speeds of up to 600 MB/s. Users can choose between two capacities: 512 GB and 1 TB. The SC730 operates reliably within a temperature range of +5°C to +35°C and comes with a 5-year warranty. The drive’s surface is treated with a special coating resistant to scratches and fingerprints, while its iridescent pattern adds a stylish touch without compromising practicality.

The SC730 supports all major operating systems, including Windows 10/11, macOS Ventura and later, as well as Linux with kernel version 6 and above. It’s also compatible with Android smartphones (version 13+) and modern gaming consoles, making it an ideal solution for gamers and mobile users alike. The official pricing for the SC730 has not yet been revealed, but the announcement has already caught the attention of tech enthusiasts.
