Mini-PC with Flip-Up Screen and Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Processor Announced

AOOSTAR is preparing to unveil the G-Flip mini-PC, which combines the power of a next-generation processor with an unconventional design featuring an integrated display. The device, set to launch in 2025, aims to be a multifunctional solution for both professionals and tech enthusiasts.

The standout feature of the G-Flip is its 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 60 Hz refresh rate, mounted on an aluminum hinge. Unlike traditional portable monitors, this panel isn’t meant to replace your main screen. Instead, it’s designed for tracking system notifications, chats, or background media playback. The unique hinge mechanism allows the screen’s angle to be adjusted from 0° to 90°, and when folded down, the display becomes part of the chassis, maintaining the device’s sleek appearance.

At the heart of the mini-PC is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, built on the Zen 5 architecture. With 12 cores and 24 threads, paired with Radeon 890M (RDNA 3.5) graphics, the G-Flip delivers performance comparable to full-sized desktops. A key highlight is the flexible configuration: for the first time in AOOSTAR’s lineup, the device supports two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots, allowing users to upgrade the memory themselves. For storage, there are two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots, while USB4 and OCuLink interfaces ensure fast data transfer speeds.

The G-Flip comes equipped with a full set of ports, including two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A connectors, HDMI 2.1, and two 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports. Notably, it also supports Wi-Fi 7, providing record-breaking wireless connectivity speeds. For added security, a fingerprint scanner is integrated into the power button. The official launch is scheduled for mid-March 2025. Pricing remains a mystery, but given the high-end specs, the G-Flip is likely to position itself in the premium mini-PC market.
