Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Players Losing Saves After Patch 1.2 Due to Updated Pause Menu

Patch 1.2 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 wasn't exactly a success. The developers had to release a hotfix to solve the crash issue on PC, but players were faced with new problems.

For some reason, Warhorse Studios decided to change the pause menu, placing the New Game option between the Resume and Save Game buttons. Users weren't prepared for this turn of events — there were a lot of complaints on the Reddit forum about players accidentally overwriting their saves by pressing the wrong button out of habit.

Of course, it's not limited to just one button. As another redditor showed, when selecting New Game in the menu, a warning about losing your saves pops up. However, it's easy to miss it in a hurry.

Fortunately, players have already found a temporary solution for Steam Cloud users. You need to download the desired file from the cloud storage and place it in the saves folder, then restart the game.

Recall that recently Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 received official mod support and barbers, the list of changes is published here. The update is available for all platforms.
