Congratulations to Valve: Steam and Counter-Strike 2 Break Online Record Again

Gabe Newell's company has a new reason for a small celebration. This time, two online records have been broken at once — in Steam and Counter-Strike 2.

Most likely, the influx of users to the Valve service was influenced by the large-scale spring sale of games with big discounts. Just a few hours ago, there were almost 40.5 million gamers on Steam at any one time. The previous record lasted a little less than two weeks — then 40.2 million people visited the platform.

Meanwhile, over 1.8 million users played Counter-Strike 2 at its peak, as reported by the SteamDB.

Recall that Steam recently presented another list of the most popular games of the week. Monster Hunter Wilds took first place among paid projects.
