Insider: Capcom Delays Resident Evil 9 Because It's Reinvention of the Series

Popular insider Dusk Golem remembered about Resident Evil 9 again and shared a small rumor. According to him, Capcom has been working on the horror for too long due to the desire to refresh the franchise.
The studio allegedly plans to rethink the series at the same level as it did with the fourth and seventh games. At the same time, Resident Evil 9 will differ from remakes or the latest parts, and will also acquire new elements. Dusk Golem is confident that the release will take place this year.
(2/2) is taking so long is because it's like a big reinvention of the series, to the same level as RE4 & RE7. It's not going to play just like RE7/RE8 or the Remakes, it's trying new things & very ambitious. It will almost definitely be revealed this year, so just hold tight.
