«Game Over?» — Serious Troubles Likely for Saw 11 Film

In December 2023, Lionsgate announced the eleventh installment of the Saw series, but recent reports suggest the film may have been canceled. Official confirmation from the filmmakers is still pending.

According to Bloody Disgusting, an anonymous source close to the production claims that work on Saw 11 has been halted. It is reported that the filming of the new movie encountered issues due to conflicts among producers. Some were trying to push the project forward, while others were creating obstacles.

As a result, filming was put on hold, and the film's release, initially planned for 2024, was postponed to 2025 and then ultimately canceled. Currently, the project is shut down, and the franchise's future remains uncertain. It could be sold to another major studio, but a reboot is more likely.

The Saw film series, which includes ten installments, has grossed over a billion dollars worldwide. The tenth part was released in September 2023 and grossed $125.3 million on a $13 million budget.
