Tom Henderson Clarifies Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake Release Date

In addition to the recently released Assassin's Creed Shadows, Ubisoft studios have been working on other games in the series for some time. Insider and journalist Tom Henderson clarified the release date of the Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake and another project.
He again noted that due to the postponement of the Shadows release, the company had to revise its calendar. The Black Flag remake (codenamed Obsidian) may be released in 2026 before the release of Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe, a new story game about witches, whose release the insider expects in 2027.
Tom Henderson also mentioned the multiplayer Assassin's Creed: Invictus. He believes that the game will also be released before Codename Hexe. One of the insiders talked about the details of the project last year.
Everything has been pushed back because of the Shadows delay. I don't know the exact dates, but wouldn't be surprised if Hexe ends up in 2027 to be honest. Obsidian was meant to be this year but maybe it makes sense to release later. Nothing confirmed, just spitballing.

Recall that yesterday Ubisoft announced the results of a deal with the Tencent. The company opened a division that will deal with games based on the Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and other key titles. A quarter of the shares of the new company will go to the Chinese investor.
