Work on the Assassin's Creed Series Continues — Project in «Active» Phase

Back in 2020, Netflix announced that it was working with Ubisoft on a series based on the Assassin's Creed game franchise. The project had been quiet for several years, but it has recently come to light that the companies are continuing the development of the series, which is now in an "active" phase.
Alain Tascan, head of Netflix's gaming division, confirmed that the project has not been canceled, despite fans' concerns.
However, there are still no new details regarding the script, casting, or release date. It's also unclear what's happening with the Assassin's Creed anime project, which was once linked to Adi Shankar, the creator of the animated Castlevania series.
As a reminder, in March, Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed Shadows, which, according to analyst Mat Piscatella from the analytics firm Circana, has already become one of the best-selling games of 2025 so far.
