Modder bypasses CPU requirement for God of War: Ragnarok
The community of players continues to refine the optimization of the PC version of God of War: Ragnarok. This time, one of the modders has released a patch that allows you to run the game on outdated processors.
We are talking about AVX2 and FMA instructions, which are no longer supported by some processors of the previous generation. The author of the modification has developed a tool based on the official Intel emulator. To install the mod, you need to download the file itself, unpack it and create a shortcut for the sde.exe file. After that, you need to enter the path in the «Properties» of the shortcut using the following template: «-hsw -- “F:\Games\God of War — Ragnarok\GoWR.exe”». In the latter case, the path to the executable file of the game is specified. You can learn more about launching the mod from the video instructions below:
The author of the modification warned that loading the game may take some time — up to 10 minutes. After that, you will need to complete the compilation of shaders. Unfortunately, the mod does not solve the performance issues of God of War: Ragnarok on old processors.
You can download the Bypass AVX2 and FMA Instructions Requirement — GoWR mod here.
Earlier, another modder cut the requirement for PSN from God of War: Ragnarok. However, after a while he had to delete the addon.
