Dragon Age: The Veilguard Won't Get DLC — BioWare Will Focus on New Mass Effect Instead
After the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare shared a little about its future plans. The developers confirmed that the new DA will not have any add-ons — a first for the series.
This was revealed by BioWare creative director John Epler in an interview with Rolling Stone. In a conversation with journalists, he said that the studio has no intention of releasing DLC for the recent release. What is noteworthy is that all previous games in the series received new content some time after their release.
Instead, BioWare intends to focus on the new part of Mass Effect. John Epler did not specify when the game might be released, but he did mention that the studio wants to try its hand at multiplayer again:
In addition, he did not deny the possibility of releasing a remastered Dragon Age collection like the Mass Effect Legendary Collection. However, this will be technically difficult to implement due to the different engines on which the first two parts and Inquisition were created.
Recall that Mass Effect 5 has been in development since 2020, when the first teaser was shown. It is known that veterans of the studio are still working on the game. The other day, executive producer Michael Gamble confirmed that the game will have photorealistic graphics, different from the style of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Earlier, a funny Easter egg was found in the new Dragon Age, referring to a meme from Mass Effect 2.
