NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Sales Begin on February 20, While the Base RTX 5070 Model Faces Delay

Major French retailer Topachat has confirmed that sales of the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti will begin on February 20. The store has already listed five different models of the GPU. However, contrary to expectations, the base RTX 5070 model has yet to be announced, raising questions among industry experts.
Early reviews of the RTX 5070 Ti will drop on February 19, while other models will follow on February 20. The graphics card features a GB203-300 GPU with 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 memory on a 256-bit bus. NVIDIA’s suggested retail price for the RTX 5070 Ti is $749. As for the base RTX 5070 model, its launch appears to be postponed until late February. Analysts believe NVIDIA may be intentionally delaying its release to avoid direct comparisons with AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT, which are expected to debut around the same time. The RTX 5070 is rumored to feature a GB205-300 GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR7 memory on a 192-bit bus, with an estimated retail price of $549.
The lack of information on the base model has fueled speculation among consumers. Some suggest NVIDIA might be adjusting its launch strategy to strengthen the RTX 5070 Ti’s market position. Others suspect the delay could be due to technical or logistical challenges. NVIDIA has yet to comment on the situation, but anticipation for the RTX 5070 Ti continues to grow. Given the high demand, retailers may set prices above the official MSRP.
