Non-functioning mice, «blue screens of death», and reboots — the recent Windows 11 update turned out to be problematic
Recently, Microsoft released optional update KB5043145 for Windows 11, which introduced numerous critical issues to the system. Users are reporting non-functioning mice, keyboards, Wi-Fi problems, and more.
Moreover, after installing the update, some PCs started experiencing «blue screens of death» and constant reboots.
The update also caused issues with USB ports, leading to problems with mice and keyboards.
In some cases, after frequent reboots, the system triggers the BitLocker security tool (a proprietary disk encryption technology).
Fortunately, the update is not mandatory. Those who have installed it are advised to manually remove the update and reboot their systems. Microsoft has acknowledged the problems and is preparing a corresponding update with fixes.
