NVIDIA unveiled the RTX Kit with neural shaders and enhanced geometry
At CES 2025, NVIDIA announced a new set of technologies called RTX Kit, which promises revolutionary changes in graphic rendering and opens new horizons for creating realistic and detailed game worlds. The components of this kit include RTX Neural Shaders and RTX Mega Geometry, which will significantly improve visual effects and performance in games.
One of the key technologies is RTX Neural Shaders, which integrates neural networks into shaders, allowing developers to leverage artificial intelligence for creating complex visual effects. As a result, rendering will be faster and of higher quality. For example, RTX Neural Texture Compression compresses textures up to seven times more efficiently, saving video memory, while RTX Neural Materials optimizes shaders and speeds up material processing, improving their quality without sacrificing performance.
The kit also includes RTX Neural Radiance Cache, which enhances indirect lighting, making it more natural and realistic. The technology is already being integrated into popular game projects and will also be available through the RTX GI SDK. There are also innovations for character animation: RTX Neural Faces uses 3D poses to create more natural faces with varied expressions. Combined with new skin and hair rendering algorithms, this expands the possibilities for creating realistic characters.
NVIDIA's RTX Kit opens up new opportunities for developers and promises significant improvements in creating deep and interactive game worlds, which will undoubtedly impact the future of the video game industry.
