Analysts Have Already Predicted the Likely Price of the Nintendo Switch 2
Recently, the Nintendo Switch 2 was announced, but its official price has not yet been disclosed. However, some analysts have already shared their thoughts on what the console might cost.
Most analysts believe that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be priced around $400. For instance, Serkan Toto mentioned that he didn't see anything in the trailer that would justify a higher price.
For comparison, the original Nintendo Switch was officially priced at $300. The Nintendo Switch OLED, in turn, costs $350, and the Nintendo Switch Lite is priced at $200.
Other analysts, including Mat Piscatella and Piers Harding-Rolls, also feel that $400 is a reasonable price for the new Nintendo Switch 2. They don't believe that the final price will significantly impact initial sales unless it is excessively high.
Piers Harding-Rolls added that he wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo set the price at $500, but he still considers $400 to be the more likely scenario.
Rhys Elliot also agreed that $400 is the ideal price for the Nintendo Switch 2. However, he mentioned one factor that could potentially drive the price higher.
Joost van Dreunen, like other analysts, also agrees that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be sold for $400. He believes that for many consumers, this amount is a critical psychological threshold.
As it stands, Nintendo has not officially disclosed the price of the Switch 2. Details about the console will be presented on April 2 during the Nintendo Direct presentation.
