GeForce RTX 50 Buyers Already Setting Up Camps Outside Stores

Eager to purchase NVIDIA's latest series of graphics cards, enthusiasts have started securing spots outside stores well before the official launch. In the city of Tustin, California, a tent camp was spotted near a Micro Center store. Photos shared on Reddit show several tents set up outside the store. However, no people were seen nearby, leading forum users to speculate that the tents might have been placed by scalpers intending to buy the cards for later resale at inflated prices.

Retailers have issued warnings that the availability of GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards will be extremely limited at launch. Some stores have reported having fewer than 10 units in stock, while others may not receive shipments until mid-February. While NVIDIA has not commented on the potential shortage, the company’s partners acknowledge that this could be one of the most constrained launches in recent years.

Despite the hype, Micro Center reminds customers that each individual will be allowed to purchase only one graphics card. However, even this policy does not eliminate the risk that some buyers might leave empty-handed without their much-anticipated GPU.
