NVIDIA Plans to Release Budget RTX 5060 Ti Graphics Cards with 8GB and 16GB of Memory

Records in the Eurasian Economic Commission's database suggest that NVIDIA may be preparing to release RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards with varying memory capacities. According to new documents, MaxSun has registered several RTX 5060 Ti GPUs, including the iCraft and TR models, with 8GB and 16GB of video memory. However, it is important to treat this information with caution, as the launch of budget Blackwell-based desktop GPUs might still be months away.

To achieve such memory capacities, the RTX 4060 Ti used a dual-sided VRAM chip configuration, and this approach is likely to be applied to the upcoming models as well. Rumors indicate that the RTX 5060 Ti could feature the GB206 GPU with 36 SMs (4,608 CUDA cores) and a 128-bit memory interface. Alternatively, NVIDIA may use a cut-down version of the GB205 chip from the RTX 5070, which has 50 SMs.

While NVIDIA claims that in the future, artificial intelligence in games will reduce memory requirements, at present, the limited VRAM capacity could be a weak point for the 8GB models.
