New Xbox Will Be Essentially TV-Friendly PC, Insider Claims

According to Windows Central editor Jez Corden, the new Xbox console will be something like a mini-PC with a specific set of specs. The device could appear as early as 2027.
The insider spoke about this in the latest episode of the Xbox Two podcast. Probably, such an unusual approach by Microsoft will reduce the time for optimization.
I mean the whole idea of the next Xbox is that it's gonna be a PC in essence but with a TV friendly shell that also has a specific set of specs in mind, so developers will be building for Windows PC in a way but in such a way that they know exactly what the specs will be.
There is no dev kit for the new Xbox yet, says Jez Corden, so rumors about the release of the next Call of Duty on the next-gen console may be premature.
Earlier, the designer of the original Xbox said that it's time for consoles to stop chasing performance.
