Fans worked for six years on a short anime based on Alien. Now you can watch it on YouTube
OtaKing Animation Studio released a short anime film based on «Alien». According to the authors (the graphics were handled by only two people), the work took a whole six years.
Visually, the film is inspired by classic 80s anime. The plot tells about the crew of the mining ship Thanatos, which arrives at a mining site and encounters an alien threat. The main character, Ashlyn, tries to escape from the xenomorph, but she will have to make sacrifices to do so.
The short film was released on July 23 and, at the time of writing, has garnered 500,000 views. Viewers noted that some animations look rough, but for such a small team, it is an outstanding achievement.
Let us remind you that next month, the film Alien: Romulus will be released, which will be a soft reboot of the popular franchise. We wrote about the debut trailer of the film here.
