New Witcher Liam Hemsworth Named His Favorite Gaming Platform. Henry Cavill Will Be Unhappy
Liam Hemsworth gave his first interview with details about his participation in the series The Witcher. The Australian actor will play the role of Geralt of Rivia after Henry Cavill's departure.
At first, Hemsworth admitted that before filming, he was almost unfamiliar with Andrzej Sapkowski's universe, but he had played one of the CD Projekt RED games — judging by the enthusiastic reviews, it was The Witcher 3. The actor still occasionally returns to the iconic RPG to refresh his memory.
I hadn't seen the TV show. And I hadn't read the books. But I played the video game like ten years ago or something. And it's still to this day one of the best video games of all time. And Netflix came to me almost two years ago now and said that they wanted me to just step in and take over.
I was really excited by taking on that character because I was a fan of the video game. But I said, you know, let me watch the TV show and have a look at the books and really get stuck into it.
In the process, the actor also mentioned that he spends a lot of time on the console: «When I'm not surfing, I'm playing Xbox.» We feel that Henry Cavill, one of the main PC enthusiasts, will not approve of his colleague's choice.
According to Hemsworth, filming of the fourth season took about 9 months. At the end of October, the celebrity will take a four-month break, and then work on the fifth and final season will begin.
The premiere of the fourth season is scheduled for 2025. Recently, fresh photos from the show's set appeared online.
