The God of War series will be directed by the creator of Battlestar Galactica
The upcoming TV adaptation of God of War has a new showrunner. According to Variety, Ronald D. Moore, the creator of Battlestar Galactica, is now in charge of the series.
Moore joined the project shortly after Rafe Judkins, who worked on The Wheel of Time and Uncharted with Tom Holland, stepped down. Reports suggested that Judkins had written several versions of the script, but Sony and Amazon chose to take a different direction.
Ronald D. Moore has been collaborating with Sony for nearly a decade. His recent works include Outlander and For All Mankind, both of which are set to receive spin-offs.
Santa Monica Studio's creative director Cory Barlog is still an executive producer on the project. He is currently working on an unannounced game, which might be set in a sci-fi universe.
