New Trailer for Gravelord — A Retro Shooter in the Spirit of Doom and Quake
Independent studio Fatbot Games, s. r. o. has released a new gameplay trailer for the fast-paced retro shooter Gravelord. The trailer reveals the exact early access release date on Steam — January 22 of this year.
"The game will chill you to the bone and take you back to the days when you were just a kid at your dad's computer", — reads the description.
According to the developers, Gravelord is inspired by the classic Doom and Quake, yet it features more modern graphics and some new twists. These include a phantom shovel for quick movement and tarot cards to boost combat power. Additionally, there's a built-in level editor and the ability to upgrade weapons.
The main character is Quido the gravedigger, who seeks revenge for his father. The authors note that the character will often deliver signature lines "in the style of Duke Nukem with a pinch of Frankenstein's monster's rotten charisma."
A demo of Gravelord is already available on Steam.
