Mojang Announces Vibrant Visuals: Free Graphics Update for Minecraft

Mojang has announced Vibrant Visuals, a free graphics update coming to Minecraft that will overhaul elements like lighting, shadows, fog, and water.
The update will first roll out for the Bedrock Edition, with the Java Edition receiving it later. Players will be able to switch between the new and classic visuals at any time. The developers emphasized that they will continue to enhance Minecraft's visuals while preserving the game's signature style.
The developers also revealed they are adding the ability to tame Ghasts! To befriend the mob, you have to lure it to the Surface and place it in water. Once tamed, players will be able to ride the Ghast. The mob will be able to accommodate up to four players.
Finally, Mojang has reiterated that they have no plans to make Minecraft free-to-play or introduce battle passes and microtransactions. The studio also confirmed that they are not planning to release Minecraft 2.
