Best Mods for Dragon's Dogma 2: for Graphics Optimization, Weight, Armor and More
Dragon's Dogma 2 is a new role-playing game from Capcom. It resembles other genre representatives like Skyrim or Dragon Age, but it also has its unique features. And you can make it even better with user modifications. In this article, we've gathered the best mods for the game and explained how to install them.
At the time of writing, there are no large mods that add a lot of new content to Dragon's Dogma 2. Most modifications are aimed at fixing the shortcomings of the original game: making the interface more convenient, changing the camera angle, adding the ability to buy consumables in unlimited quantities, and so on. In addition, the first mods that improve graphics optimization have appeared.
How to Install Mods on Dragon's Dogma 2
- Download the mod manager Fluffy Mod Manager.
- Install it anywhere on your hard drive.
- Run the program and specify the game Dragon's Dogma 2.
- Download the mod archive and unpack it.
- Transfer the modification files to the working window of the manager. Or you can copy them to the folder [modmanager]/Games/DragonsDogma2_CharaMods.
- In the mod manager, find the mod you need and install it.
Removing mods is also convenient to do through the manager. If a modification is installed differently, we will leave instructions in the description.
Mods for Dragon's Dogma 2 Optimization
All mods related to game optimization are collected in this section.
Mod for NVIDIA Owners
If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, use the DLSS 3.7.0 Scaling modification. Simply download it and unpack it into the game folder. By default, it is located at C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamappsc/ommon/Dragons Dogma 2.
Mod for AMD Owners
If your computer is equipped with an AMD graphics card, pay attention to the AMD FSR 3 Support mod. To install it, copy the files to the Dragon's Dogma 2 folder. First, you need to launch the game, open the graphics settings, and activate the TAA option.
Mod for Increasing FPS
To increase the frame rate (FPS) while visiting cities, use the DD2 CPU Priority — Free Fps at City and Towns modification. Unpack the archive, run the file, and select the Run function. After completion, you will need to restart your computer.
Mod for Removing NPCs
If this method did not help, you can take more radical measures and remove all non-playable characters around you. This will definitely reduce the load on the processor. The No NPC mod is launched using the regular mod manager.
HD Texture Overhauls
A set of high-resolution textures for character faces, clothing, monsters, armor, and weapons. It makes the visuals more detailed.
Simple Realistic 3D for Dragon's Dogma 2
Thanks to shaders, the game will look brighter and more realistic. Additionally, the visuals will become more detailed, and the quality of visual effects will improve.
Installation Order:
- Remove all previous mods that use ReShade technology, if you have any.
- Download the mod archive and transfer it to the game folder. By default, it is located at C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonDragons Dogma 2.
- Launch the game.
Mod Controls:
- Del Key — activate or deactivate the mod;
- PgDn or PgUp — enable or disable stereoscopic mode;
- End Key — show the mod interface. Here you can adjust color saturation, light intensity, brightness, and contrast.
Crazy's Shop
Adds a merchant to the game who sells Wakestones, Rift Crystals, Ferrystone Shards, and much more. The assortment updates daily. Note: the mod author recommends buying no more than 99 items of one type at a time.
Material Shop and Armory
This modification expands the range of goods available from merchants. After installing it, you will be able to purchase all types of armor and weapons available in the game.
Early n' Cheap Art of Metamorphosis
Some players have encountered an unexpected difficulty: starting a playthrough with a new character in Dragon's Dogma 2 is not that simple. And your height and weight parameters directly affect your characteristics. You can change them using the Art of Metamorphosis book. This mod allows you to purchase it from Melva of Vernworth, one of the first merchants you will meet on your journey.
Infinite Stamina Out of Combat
A simple but useful mod that removes the stamina bar while wandering in the open world of the game. As long as you are not in combat, you can run as long as you want.
Female Nude Mod
A standard nude mod that undresses the main female character and all female pawns. The modification allows you to customize intimate body parts and remove scars.
No Spa Censor
Another nude mod that works only during bathing. After installing it, you will be able to see fully naked girls in the hot springs.
Better UI. Colorful Map Icons
A modification that changes the dull interface icons to more vibrant ones. At first glance, the changes may seem minor, but thanks to them, you will navigate the map, inventory, and during the game itself much faster.
Do not be afraid of excess weight
Adds an Accumulation Ring to the game, which increases the maximum weight you can carry by a hundred times. The item can be purchased from merchants at the very beginning of the playthrough.
Enemy HP and Damage Increase
This hardcore mod is likely to appeal to those who found the original game too easy. It increases the difficulty by adding extra health points to local mobs and bosses. Other characteristics remain the same, so the battles will be more intense. If desired, you can further increase the damage of all mobs.
Lock-On Combat with Dodge
A modification that allows you to lock the camera on an enemy and dodge to the side when necessary. As a result, the battles will resemble fights from Dark Souls. In addition, new control settings will appear.
NPC's Hairstyles for Arisen and Pawns
This mod expands customization options in the game with new types of hairstyles, including those you might have seen on NPCs.
Stop Selling Yourself
In Dragon's Dogma 2, there's an annoying moment where un-hired pawns approach you and offer their services. After installing the Stop Selling Yourself mod, potential allies will stop asking to be hired. But you will always be able to start a dialogue with them and invite them to your team.
Dragonsplague Cure
Dragon plague is one of the most obscure mechanics in Dragon's Dogma 2, which caught many players off guard. There is no cure for it — if a pawn gets sick, you will have to kill them so they don't ruin your playthrough. The Dragonsplague Cure mod allows you to heal with the press of a hotkey.
Functional Pawns. Guild and Storage
Your pawns will take on the role of in-game guilds, and you can use their inventories as full-fledged storage. For example, the Gorgon's Medusa head will not spoil while it is with your companion.
Show Favorability For Everyone
After installing this mod, the level of respect a character has for you will be displayed next to their name.
Heal By Time
A simple modification that allows your hero and all pawns to automatically regenerate their health over time.
Over the Shoulder Camera and Wider FOV (Field of View)
Moves the camera to the shoulder of the main character and significantly increases the field of view.
Teleportation
Allows you to travel to any point on the map without using consumables or carts.
