LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Review

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is the most interesting and funniest LEGO game to date. The developers from Traveller's Tales have managed to turn the constructor into something more than just a game. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has a lot of humor, dialogues between characters, and the game's plot is quite good.
Citizen of the Year
So where does it all begin? It all starts with the awarding of the "Citizen of the Year" prize. The contenders for this award are Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor. I think you know these people, but just in case, I will reveal the identity of each contender. Bruce Wayne is an extraordinarily wealthy man who moonlights as the "Dark Knight" on the streets of Gotham. Lex Luthor is no less important a person; he is a genius and a presidential candidate. Naturally, Lex Luthor dislikes Bruce, so he wants to get the award at any cost. How surprised he will be when the award is given not to him, but to Bruce Wayne — Batman. And just as our hero receives the award, the Joker appears with all his "company" and steals our friend Batman's well-deserved award. What rudeness; only a true villain could do that, so we don the "Dark Knight" costume and rush into battle to retrieve what was stolen.
Introduction to the Matter
Let's not forget that [LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes](url=/games/lego-batman-2-dc-super-heroes/) is a game aimed at a young audience, so at the very beginning of the game, we are introduced to the matter, shown how to fight properly, which keys to press in certain situations. Therefore, at the beginning of the game, we easily manage to take down a small company of Joker's henchmen and, essentially, the Joker himself. The whole process is so interesting and enjoyable that it's almost impossible to tear yourself away from neutralizing the opponents.
The Elusive Joker
It can't be that at the very beginning of the game we capture the main villain, so Lex Luthor, consumed by jealousy towards Batman, rescues the Joker from captivity and helps him escape. Of course, the Joker is not pleased with Batman's behavior and decides to release all the residents of Arkham City onto the streets of Gotham. Now we have to cleanse Gotham of this "filth," and our loyal superhero friends will help us with this.
Valiant Heroes and Cunning Villains
To aid Batman, personalities such as Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and Flash come to the rescue, while the following villains come to Joker's aid: Lex Luthor, Two-Face, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn. Each hero has their own abilities that we use during the storyline. Superman can fly, freeze enemies, or shoot lasers from his eyes, while Green Lantern can create any objects necessary to complete the mission. The game also features Catwoman, but it's unknown which side she belongs to; as they say, she's "a cat that walks by herself".
The Streets of Gotham
The game has an open world. Look how far technology has come; in superhero games made from LEGO, they've created an open world. Of course, it's not as populated as the cities in GTA or Saints Row, but it's still nice to see movement on the city's streets. Gotham is a beautiful city, and the fact that it's built from a constructor only adds to its charm.
***
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is a wonderful, interesting game that will be enjoyable not only for children but also for adults. The abundance of platforms on which the game was released is even more pleasing; no one will be left out. Humorous dialogues between characters, pleasant voice acting, an interesting plot, exciting battles using the heroes' superhuman abilities. The open game world, puzzles — this game has no downsides, except for one — the inconvenient mini-map, which is extremely difficult to navigate. Otherwise, the game turned out to be quite successful.
