18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal is a realistic truck driver simulator with first and third person views. The game invites you to go to conquer America, where almost all major cities of the USA and a small part of Canada and Mexico are represented on the map. There are three modes available: hired driver, free driver and company owner. Starting from the very first one, you will have to fulfill various transport orders in order to then open your own cargo transportation company.

The base game is stable. But all sorts of homemade locations (maps) often crash during the game. It is no longer possible to find out what the mapmakers have come up with. The game shuts down, everything on the screen freezes, and the system mouse cursor appears. When you click on the mouse (LK), the image disappears, the desktop appears and a window with the message: “The Prism3D program is not working. Should you close it and send information to the developer?” or something like that. As if there was a choice! It seems like we have to thank the mapmakers for new interesting locations. But the tongue reaches out to say something completely different at such moments.
Базовая игра стабильна. А вот всевозможные самодельные локации (карты) нередко вылетают в процессе игры. Чего уж там картостроители намудрили, узнать уже нельзя. Игра затыкается, все на экране замирает, появляется системный курсор мыши. При нажатии на мышь (ЛК) изображение исчезает, появляется рабочий стол и окошко с сообщением:"Программа Prism3D не работает. Закрыть ее и отправить информацию разработчику?" или что-то в этом роде. Как будто есть выбор! Вот вроде бы надо благодарить картостроителей за новые интересные локации.
