Space simulators
Space simulators are a popular gaming genre that allows gamers to feel like a pilot of a spaceship. Games in this genre include the ability to upgrade one's ship, battle in the vacuum of space with other pilots, complete missions for spaceport and base inhabitants, and hunt down trading ships for "profit."
Some space sims also offer the opportunity to try multiplayer: players are thrown into space with other players who are also completing missions, transporting valuable cargo, and may even attack.
