Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone — the gameplay of the game is presented in the form of an arcade with a third-person view, combining elements of an adventure game.
Between mandatory story missions, the player can explore the castle's secrets — however, the castle is not as open as in the subsequent part; the player is also free to participate in Quidditch tournaments (Quidditch is called up as a separate item in the initial menu of the game and can be played without going through the story; the opportunity to play Quidditch opens after defeating the Slytherin team).
During the game, it may not be possible to return to locations from completed tasks, and secret rooms in Hogwarts and in the garden may change after completing each test. Some actions in the levels are impossible until Harry learns a certain spell (for example, after the first flight on a broom, it is impossible to open paintings and cabinets until the Alohomora spell is learned).

A game from a time when it wasn’t really fashionable to make games based on film licenses. They crammed the main moments from the film into the game, added some of their own ideas and levels to expand the gameplay, and even released it from under the wing of those EAs who published soulful games. The game itself is presented as an adventure platformer, where we jump on all sorts of platforms, roam around the corridors of Hogwarts and collect all sorts of things. A very good game, worthy of your attention now.

Игра того времени, когда не было прям моды повально делать игры по кинолицензиям. В игру запихали основные моменты из фильма, добавили своих каких-то идей и уровней, чтоб расширить геймплей да и выпустили еще из-под крыла тех EA, которые издавали душевные игры. Сама же игра представлена таким приключенческим платформером, где мы прыгаем по всяким платформам, шаримся по коридорам Хогвартса и собирать всякое. Очень хорошая игра, достойная вашего внимания и сейчас.
Magnificent and very lamp games. Very pleasant adventure games. With a wonderful sound and atmosphere of Lostana. For those who don’t know, on each console there were up to 4 parts of the game for each platform. And they are cool and different. Yes, not masterpieces for all time, of course, not without the games’ flaws. But very pleasant and sincere.
Велеколепные и очень ламповые игры. Очень приятные адвенчуры.С прекрасным саундом и атмосферой потерианы. Для тех кто не знает на каждой консоли до 4 части игры были на каждую платформу свои. И они классные и разные. Да не шедевры на все времена конечно не без огрехов игр. Но очень приятные и душевные.
Of course, after depicting the characters, locations and events in the film, recreating it in the game is no longer such a problem. And there was enough gag from the developers. But overall, the raspberries were not spoiled. And while the gameplay is acceptable, graphically the game is behind its time. I was especially pleased with the system of cards with wizards. It is primitive, there are not many cards themselves, but they are there, and that’s good.
A good, albeit not without flaws, children's game based on a magnificent book, which at one time attracted all Potter lovers.
Конечно, после изображения персонажей, локаций и событий в фильме, воссоздать это в игре уже не такая проблема. Да и отсебятины разработчиков хватило. Но в целом, малину не испортили. И если игровой процесс приемлем, то графически игра отстала от своего времени. Отдельно порадовала система карточек с волшебниками. Она примитивна, самих карточек немного, но они есть, и это уже хорошо.
Хорошая, пусть и не без огрехов, детская игра по великолепной книге, в своё время приковавшая к себе всех любителей поттерианы.
