Metroid Prime is a futuristic first-person shooter. Samus must travel the world of Tallon 4 in search of 12 Chozo Artifacts that will open the way to the crater created by the Phazon meteorite, and collect bonuses that will allow her to reach new areas. The Varia Suit, for example, protects Samus' armor from high temperatures, allowing her to penetrate volcanic areas. Some items can be obtained after boss fights.
