SteamWorld Heist is a stylish and fun strategic shooter in the steampunk genre about pirates and robots. The main character is pirate Piper Faraday, who gathers a team of steam robots and sets off across space to board, rob and kill. Levels are generated procedurally. In battle, you will control the weapons of the entire team and will be able to upgrade your robots as the game progresses, giving them different abilities, weapons and hats.

The developers took a risky step by making a sequel to the platformer, a turn-based strategy, but the result exceeded expectations. The story of the game begins at the end of the previous part, which is why there is no break in the narrative. The new gameplay is introduced through combat, which makes it possible to test all the mechanics in practice. The levels are made very well, which is why you have to use your brain on battle tactics, and the soundtrack fits perfectly into the environment
Разработчики пошли на рискованный шаг сделав продолжение платформера, пошаговой стратегией, но результат превзошел ожидания. История игры начинается на моменте окончания предыдущей части, из за чего нет разрыва повествования. С новым геймплеем знакомят с помощью боя, что даёт возможность испытать все механики на практике. Уровни сделаны очень качественно, из за чего приходиться пошевелить мозгами над тактикой боя, а саундтрек идеально вписывается в окружение
