Earth headquarters have lost contact with a remote colony on planet VL-744. The main character, together with his faithful fighting vehicle, goes on reconnaissance in order to find out the fate of the colony. The character can not only control the robot, but also leave it to explore the world on his own. He can also use a jetpack.
