The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes is the third game in The Dark Pictures series. The game will take place in the Middle East, and the heroes will be American soldiers who will encounter an ancient demonic creature in underground caves. 2003, Iraq. The Americans have already won the war, but they still feel some tension. After all, their worst enemy Saddam Hussein is still in hiding and could launch a surprise attack. One day, Colonel Eric King, using the tracking technology he developed, finds traces of chemical weapons. Surely Hussein’s base is located there, from where the villain is preparing to strike the United States. Eric is given command of a detachment of Marines that used to report to his wife, and prepares to go on a mission.
Alas, things quickly did not go according to plan. The soldiers were first attacked by the Iraqi military, who refused to lay down their arms and surrender. Then the ground shook mysteriously, cracks appeared under the soldiers’ feet, and they all fell down. Old equipment is abandoned in the halls, creepy notes are lying on the tables, and in the darkness you can see terrible creatures that are about to appear and will certainly devour someone. Not only do the creatures reach out to the poor fellows with their paws, but the fighters also squabble among themselves. The Marines constantly find out which of them is right, and the angry Iraqi prefers shooting to talking. To survive, people will have to make compromises more than once.

Reviews and ratings
I'm embarrassed to admit, but I played all the parts. Not because I like it very much, I just went through it together with my wife, and this is always +100 to the interest. Well, I normally treat third-rate horrors. The previous parts are very mediocre, although they are not without merits and are quite good in co-op. This part is the best game in this series. It's still not a masterpiece, but it's a lot like a Until Dawn successor. There is more dynamics, the plot is more developed and interesting. If you like this kind of movie, I definitely recommend it
I played through this game because I love games of this genre, and I was especially impressed that at least someone made such a movie with shootouts and demons - definitely the best game in this series
Я проходил эту игру так как я люблю игры подобного жанра, и особо меня впечатлило что хоть кто то сделал такое кинцо с пострелушками и демонами однозначно лучшая игра этой серии
