It's definitely worth your time, but it's not worth your money. In comparison with part 3, when part 4 came out, it was really a step back - the graphics began to focus on school students who love Disney (according to the developers) and rubber animation. Many great features (even those that were in part 2) were simply removed or reduced to the level of pressing one button, and the price tag was raised to the limit. We all know that EA has not been the same for a long time and, with such an attitude, they have ruined not the first, once excellent, franchise. This is still the Sims, only for children, with a price tag of 2k for one add-on (in total, without a discount, everything will cost you about 50k lol) and the imposition of various principles (like, for example, you can fuck a mermaid, what???). In The Sims 3 it was also similar: if you want mm or dd, please, but the way it is imposed here is already too much. If you are making a game for children (with a price tag of 2k yeah), then I don’t think it will be interesting to them at that age.
Buy the game only at a huge discount and choose the add-ons carefully, many of them will really infuriate you.
