The Witcher Remake is a full-fledged remake of the first The Witcher, created from scratch based on Unreal Engine 5. The project is in the early stages of production. The development is being carried out by the Polish studio Fool's Theory, which includes franchise veterans. CD Projekt RED itself oversees the creative side of the process.
The game is based on the series of novels of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The main character Geralt is a witcher, specially created to destroy various monsters and mutants. As a child, he was purposefully subjected to various mutations to obtain greater strength, improved reactions and accelerated metabolism. The events of the game begin five years after the events of the last book in the Witcher series, “The Lady of the Lake.” Having lost his memory, he tries to find out what happened during his disappearance and tries to help old friends who are well known from books.

I would like to see in a remake a game that, if possible, will preserve the atmosphere and plot of the old one, with minimal interference in its main components that determine continuity with the original source.
