“Valve level animations”: a Half-Life 2 fan showed what the third episode of the game could look like
While waiting for any news about the next part of Half-Life, fans of the series are not sitting idly by and trying to imagine what the sequel could become. An enthusiast from the YouTube channel Unknown Dino released a trailer in which he showed what the third episode of Half-Life 2 could look like.
The events of the new episode begin immediately after the second, in which Gordon Freeman's team was able to destroy the Alliance portal. However, an interdimensional organization has already taken possession of teleportation technology and is now sending new troops to Earth. A physicist with a crowbar in his hands finds himself in the very center of the enemy's lair, and is now forced to break through in battle.
In the footage you can also see a changed Doctor Breen in the capsule and even meet the G-Man.
The audience liked this vision of the author:
«This is Valve quality animation, it's incredibly stunning,» DoubleRealitian.
«Bro, you captured the harvester aesthetic perfectly,» sensei4042.
«Yeah, so this is what an army of harvesters looks like that destroyed the Earth in seven hours,» nerdgusgun.
According to the author, all the models for the video were created by him manually without the use of AI. The source of inspiration for it was the Half Life 2 art book «Raising The Bar», as well as the films «Alien», «Prometheus», the paintings of Denis Villeneuve and the game Scorn.
