Players paid attention to a recent interview with Larian Studios head Swen Vincke, in which he talked about unfound Easter eggs in Baldur's Gate 3. According to him, the developers left hints about the studio's next game.

Sven Vincke mentioned their existence in an interview with the Future Games Show:

One of the writers told me that she had added something to the game that would talk about our next project. The most interesting thing is that we previously did the same thing with Divinity: Original Sin 2, compiling Easter eggs for Baldur's Gate 3. But no one found them, as far as I know.

When talking about Easter eggs in DOS 2, Sven Vincke most likely alluded to items such as the «Jar of Mind Maggots» (a reference to illithid larvae), Fein's line about the octopuses' plans, and Tarkin's line about «mind-feeding creatures.»

As for Baldur's Gate 3, players on Reddit have suggested that one of the references to the future game could be the sword Phalar Aluve, which must be retrieved from a stone in the Underdark. Since Larian Studios' new game is codenamed Excalibur, this could be an obvious hint.

It recently became known when official mod support and new endings will be added to Baldur's Gate 3.
