A new fan remake of Dino Crisis with realistic dinosaurs has been shown
YouTube user ZonaSte_90 has released an announcement trailer for his remake of 1999's Dino Crisis on the Unreal Engine 4. This is already the second attempt to recreate the game with new graphics.
Compared to another similar project, this version called Project: Crisis looks better. In his video, the developer showed several short gameplay clips with level exploration and shooting, and also demonstrated quite realistic dinosaurs.
The release of the full version of Project: Crisis is still in question. As ZonaSte_90 explained, «a full remake requires a full team,» and he alone will not be able to transfer the entire Dino Crisis to a new engine. To a greater extent, his project is intended to attract the attention of Capcom so that it will take on the remake of the game. However, the developer does not deny that the full version of the updated Dino Crisis may appear in the future. It is unknown whether there will be a demo version.
Previously, the creator of the original game, Shinji Mikami, stated that the revival of the series could be hampered by competition with the more successful Monster Hunter.
