Rumor: CD Projekt RED May Release Its Own Witcher Movie
GameRant drew attention to a recent job posting for a screenwriter published by CD Projekt RED. Judging by the listed competencies, CDPR may well work on its own adaptation of The Witcher.
Recall that in November last year, the creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt announced a full-length film based on Cyberpunk 2077, which they will work on in collaboration with Anonymous Content. Now, it seems, it's time for The Witcher, GameRant writes. The other day, CD Projekt RED posted a job posting for an editor/screenwriter who will write scripts for «comics, TV shows, and movies» for a global audience. At the same time, the applicant is required to know all of the studio's IP.
Details are rather scarce, but it is possible that in the future CDPR may spur the audience's attention to The Witcher 4 by releasing a prequel film or telling about the adventures of one of the characters in this way. Moreover, there is already a positive example — the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which attracted new players.
Recall that next year the fourth season of the Netflix series The Witcher with an updated cast will be released. In addition, the release of an anime based on one of the adventures of Geralt of Rivia is next in line.
