Fan Shows What a Remake of Metal Gear Solid 1998 Would Look Like on Unreal Engine 5
While Konami is working on a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, fans of the series are fantasizing about what a reimagining of the first part could look like on a modern engine. YouTuber EnzoElRich recreated one of the starting locations of Metal Gear Solid 1998 on Unreal Engine 5, inspired by the remake of Silent Hill 2.
The blogger not only repeated the original in general terms, but also worked on cutscenes, gameplay and sound, and added a first- and third-person view. Considering that the demo was developed manually by one person, the project looks more than worthy. EnzoElRich himself said that he tried to repeat the approach of Bloober Team to the remake of Silent Hill 2.
Unfortunately, the YouTuber does not plan to release a playable demo — the project is intended only for the portfolio.
Let us recall that Metal Gear Solid Delta, a remake of the third part, is currently in development, which Konami is working on. Recently, new gameplay was presented at one of the exhibitions, and the other day, the creators revealed an unexpected secret related to the voice acting.
