Dataminer reveals new details about Half-Life 3
The famous dataminer Gabe Follower shared new information about Half-Life 3. According to him, Valve hired many veterans of the gaming industry, and the game itself will have new features like shooting off body parts and spreading fire.
As the insider said in his new video, over the past year, Valve has invited many employees from large studios like Rockstar Games, Ubisoft and id Software, among whom there are specialists who have worked for more than 10 years. It is known for sure that among them are the developers of Doom Eternal and Red Dead Redemption 2.
The data miner also shared information about new technologies that may appear in Half-Life 3. Employees from Valve are working on dynamic weather with many types of shaders for rain and fog, an advanced dismemberment system, gravity in the spirit of Prey and Control, «live» behavior of enemy NPCs for realistic battles and even physical properties of objects, thanks to which, for example, fire can spread across the location.
Recall that Half-Life 3 has not yet been officially announced. According to some reports, they have been working on it since 2021.
Earlier, a team of enthusiasts released a demo version of the «fan Half-Life 3» on Steam. Meanwhile, there is almost no information about the game itself, but in August, a new batch of interesting rumors appeared.
