Valve Starts Giving Away Half-Life 2 For Free

In honor of the 20th anniversary of Half-Life 2, Valve launched a free giveaway of the shooter. In addition, the game received a large update weighing 4 GB with various improvements and additional content.

The anniversary version now includes Half-Life 2: Episode One and Episode Two, which can be found in the main menu. Half-Life 2: Lost Coast was also integrated into the base game. In addition, the patch added several improvements and new content:

  • About 3.5 hours of developer commentary;
  • Steam Workshop support;
  • Graphical improvements such as radial fog, fixed lighting and reflections, high detail;
  • Bug fixes such as stuck birds and a crash at the Channels level;
  • Scalable interface for high resolution;
  • New font;
  • Achievements from Episode One and Episode Two;
  • Numerous fixes for some maps.

Yesterday, the free RPG Saturn from the developers of Baldur's Gate 3 was also released.
