Rumor: Back 4 Blood sequel in development
Turtle Rock Studios is apparently working on a full-fledged sequel to the co-op zombie shooter Back 4 Blood. Hints at a sequel were spotted on the resume of one of the actors.
A mention of the Gobi 2 project was found on the page of stuntman and performer Jesse Hutch, who worked on motion capture for the first game. Before its release in 2021, Back 4 Blood was developed under the codename Gobi. From this we can conclude that we are indeed talking about a sequel. In addition, the back4blood2.com domain was registered back in 2023.
Fun fact: Gobi is the name of the lizard that has long been the studio's mascot. For this reason, you can find it mentioned in Turtle Rock Studios games.
As for Back 4 Blood, in 2023 the game stopped receiving updates, despite a large audience and 6 million players at the start. The developers said that they had thrown all their efforts into creating a new project. However, the shooter recently received an update that removed the Denuvo protection.
