New Trailer and Release Date Revealed for Dead of Darkness — A 2D Survival Horror with Pixel Art

Retrofiction Games has released a new trailer for their adventure 2D survival horror game, Dead of Darkness. The video showcases gameplay and announces the exact release date for the project.

Dead of Darkness is set to launch on January 23, 2025, on Steam. A demo version is available.

The main events take place in 1985. The story follows detective Miles Wyndham as he searches for clues to uncover the truth behind his daughter's mysterious death. His investigation leads him to Velvet Island, where unforeseen dangers await.

Developers promise a "complex, multi-layered narrative," intriguing puzzles, 13 types of enemies, numerous deadly traps, and an oppressive atmosphere.
