Assassin's Creed Origins Steam Rating Down Due to Windows 11 Issues
In December, Microsoft suspended the release of Windows 11 24H2 for PCs with Ubisoft games installed due to a specific error. However, a month later, the problem has not been solved, and recent reviews of the game on Steam have become «mixed».
Recall that after the latest update, gamers encountered crashes and freezes of Ubisoft games on Windows 11. The list of problematic projects included three Assassin's Creed projects, Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. But judging by the state of the Steam game rating, Assassin's Creed: Origins got the worst of it. Players began to literally flood the page with negative reviews, complaining about constant freezes.
Recent reviews of Assassin's Creed: Origins have dropped to «mixed», their rating at the time of writing is 61%. It looks like the review bombing will continue until Ubisoft sorts out the Windows 11 functionality.
Ubisoft has been in a pretty bad spot lately, as evidenced by the 2024 flops. However, the studio is working on a new AAAA project.
