Insider: «Sony is working on a couple of old IPs»

Sony Interactive Entertainment's co-president recently revealed that the company is ready to review its assets in search of old games that haven't had a sequel in a long time. And it looks like his words weren't just empty words.

In a recent VGC podcast, VGC editor Andy Robinson let it slip that Sony is already developing new projects for two franchises:

Andy Robinson didn't say what these games are. But he's clearly talking about series that have been gathering dust on the shelf for a long time. His words echo the recent statement by PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst that Sony is looking to use its classic IPs.

On Reddit, players have already compiled a list of old projects that they would like to see a sequel for. Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, Wipeout, Ape Escape, and SOCOM are on the list.

Let us recall that Capcom also announced its intention to return to the classics. Many fans hope that this is about the Dino Crisis series.
