SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs — in the North African campaign, the player's (Ghost) battle group consists of "The Jester", as well as the Navy SEALs Killjoy and Simple. Specter SEAL Team fights the North African Patriotic Front (NAPF), renamed the Algerian Patriotic Front from SOCOM 2US Navy SEAL, led by the megalomaniac General Heydar Mahmoud and Colonel Sarwat, his second-in-command. Mahmoud gained control of Algeria in a coup d'état during the previous game, and now the NAPF has just launched an offensive against a nearby unnamed country while a SEAL team is enlisted to support local forces trying to fight back the NAPF.
